I’m Josh Withers, a marriage celebrant who believes the ceremony should be one of the best parts of your wedding day, not the formal bit everyone politely sits through before the celebration begins.
I’ve been marrying people since 2009, and my approach is pretty simple: I get to know you, understand what matters to you, then create the space for you to actually experience getting married.
My ceremonies are conversational, relaxed and largely unscripted. There’s no generic ceremony template, no questionnaire turned into an awkward retelling of your relationship, and no wedding traditions included just because somebody says that’s how weddings are supposed to work.
I care deeply about the promises you make to each other. I want you to be present for them, understand the weight and joy of what you’re doing, laugh when something’s funny, feel it when it matters, and walk away knowing you didn’t just have a great wedding ceremony. You actually got married.
I’ve married thousands of couples in all kinds of places, from huge weddings to two-person elopements, backyards and beaches to vineyards, hotels and destinations around the world.
If you want a celebrant who takes marriage seriously without making your wedding overly serious, and who’ll create something that feels unmistakably like the two of you, we’ll probably get along very well.
