I’m Josh Withers, a Sydney marriage celebrant working across the city and Greater Sydney, from the Northern Beaches and Eastern Suburbs to the Blue Mountains, Western Sydney and down through the Illawarra to Wollongong.

I’ve been marrying people since 2009, and I believe your ceremony should be one of the best parts of your wedding day. Not the formal bit standing between everyone and a glass of champagne.

My ceremonies are conversational, relaxed and largely unscripted. I get to know you beforehand, understand what matters to you, then create a ceremony that feels natural and genuinely like the two of you. No generic scripts. No questionnaire turned into a long retelling of your relationship. And no wedding traditions included just because somebody says that’s how weddings are supposed to work.

I love the variety Sydney gives you: a restaurant in the city, a beach or clifftop overlooking the Pacific, a beautiful old venue, a backyard, the Blue Mountains, or somewhere down the coast around Wollongong.

If you want to actually experience getting married, make promises that mean something, laugh when it’s funny and walk away thinking, “That was very us”, that’s exactly the kind of wedding I love creating.
